The Bioeconomy Pilot is having a busy spring and will participate in several events organised by the bio-based sector, both as speakers and moderators of technical sessions. The first event took place on 3rd April in Ljubljana, with the title “Boosting Innovation for EU Industry, Industrial Infrastructures and Open Innovation Ecosystems”.  The Bioeconomy Pilot provided an update on the state of implementation of its strategy and shared information on the business model from the Lombardy region. Two Lombard companies also took part in the matchmaking session to encourage new business opportunities for bioenergy production.

The second event, the Mediterranean Trans-Regional Cooperation for Green Manufacturing Innovation, will be organised in Barcelona on 11th April. The Bioeconomy Pilot will moderate a technical session focused on the "Role of clusters and companies in interregional collaboration for green manufacturing innovation", with a special focus on best practices in bioeconomy and circular economy business cases promoted Vanguard Initiative’s Mediterranean regions.

Lastly, the Bioeconomy Pilot will attend the Biobased Bootcamp in Potsdam on 11-12th April, and provide a description of its mission, achievements of the demo-cases and the Pilot will also animate a living lab on societal challenges towards a more sustainable economy.
